Met the legendary Billie Jean King a few years back in San Diego. We had a fun talk about the fact I played at the Bobby Riggs Tennis Club.
Sania Mirza, is ranked number one in the world in doubles! Her aunt and uncle live in San Diego (who I knew) and so I got to hit with Sania for 30 minutes in Carlsbad, CA. (a MONSTER forehand!)
Former number one player in the world, Mats Wilander. Got to play 20 minutes with him at a charity fundraiser at the legendary Forrest Hills Tennis Club in NY. (He and I won!)
Coach of the Washington Kastles and former French Open doubles winner, Murphy Jensen. Got to participate in a fun tennis clinic with him here in DC.
